Stevie The Manager
Firstly, Steve (STANGR The Man aka. Stevie The Manager) Gwillim was born with both parents in the military in Burnaby, BC Canada. His mom left at 2. He wasn’t in the best financial situation. He played sports like box lacrosse, field lacrosse and soccer. And excelled at them. He attended elementary school there until Grade 7 and then moved to Abbotsford, BC for high school.

He fell in love with rap culture because it paired up with him good. Like, for one, winning a poetry competition in grade 4. Also he had to live with his buddy in high school because of conflicts with his step mom. But he made it work and got out of it in a piece.

His journey as a rap artist is a testament to the indomitable human spirit, as he rose above the shadows of his past. In those formative years, he found himself confined within the walls of psych wards and group homes, battling the depths of depression. The weight of his struggle was further amplified by the haunting presence of voices and hallucinations that threatened to consume him.

But he refused to succumb to despair. With unwavering determination, he embarked on a relentless quest for healing and self-discovery. Seeking solace in therapy and support networks, he confronted his inner demons head-on, refusing to let them define his identity.

Emerging from the depths of darkness, he emerged as a beacon of resilience and inspiration and he beat it. Today, as a rap artist, his lyrics carry the weight of his experiences, shedding light on mental health struggles and offering solace to those who may be fighting similar battles. His music serves as a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit, a reminder that even in the face of adversity, there is hope and the possibility of triumph.

His first 2 albums, Intensify Thought 1 & 2, were the genre “experimental” trying to mesh pop / motivation rap with trap. He learned a lot. There is much more to come though. Hopefully you like his style and sound. He has said, “I’m ready to take the mic to a new level.”

The Explosive Social Media Feud Between Nicki Minaj and SZA

The music industry is no stranger to feuds, but the recent clash between Nicki Minaj and SZA has taken the spotlight, captivating fans and sparking discussions across social media platforms. This feud, which erupted on July 15, 2025, has not only highlighted the personal tensions between the two artists but also brought to light deeper issues within the music industry, including loyalty, success, and the impact of social media on celebrity culture.

The Spark That Ignited the Feud

The conflict began with a seemingly innocuous tweet from SZA, who posted about Mercury retrograde, advising her followers not to take the bait. This tweet, intended as a light-hearted comment, was quickly interpreted by Nicki Minaj as a direct jab at her. Minaj, who had recently criticized Terrence “Punch” Henderson, the president of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and SZA’s former manager, took offense and launched a series of scathing remarks aimed at SZA.

SZA’s Initial Tweet

SZA’s tweet read, “Mercury retrograde… don’t take the bait lol silly goose.” While many fans saw this as a general statement about astrology, Minaj perceived it as a personal attack. This misinterpretation set the stage for a heated exchange that would unfold over the next few days.

Nicki Minaj’s Reaction

In response to SZA’s tweet, Minaj fired back with a barrage of insults, questioning SZA’s musical relevance and even mocking her appearance. She tweeted, “Go draw your freckles back on bookie,” and accused SZA of sounding like a “dead dog.” This aggressive response marked the beginning of a public feud that would escalate rapidly.

The Escalation of Insults

As the feud progressed, both artists exchanged increasingly personal insults. Minaj’s comments not only targeted SZA’s looks but also her career achievements, suggesting that if SZA’s music disappeared, the industry wouldn’t even notice. This assertion was particularly striking given SZA’s recent success with her album SOS, which had garnered significant acclaim and commercial success.

Minaj’s Critique of SZA’s Career

Nicki Minaj’s criticisms extended beyond mere insults. She questioned SZA’s streaming numbers, implying that they were inflated and that the singer relied heavily on autotune. Minaj’s comments reflected a broader concern within the music industry about authenticity and the pressures artists face to maintain their public image.

SZA’s Calm Response

Despite the barrage of insults, SZA maintained a level of composure. She responded to Minaj’s attacks by highlighting her own successes, including her ongoing tour with Kendrick Lamar and her impressive streaming statistics. SZA’s ability to remain calm in the face of adversity showcased her resilience and determination to rise above the drama.

The Role of Social Media in Celebrity Feuds

The Nicki Minaj and SZA feud exemplifies how social media can amplify conflicts between celebrities. Platforms like X (formerly Twitter) allow artists to communicate directly with their fans, but they also provide a stage for public disputes that can quickly spiral out of control.

The Impact of Fan Reactions

As the feud unfolded, fans of both artists took to social media to express their opinions. Minaj’s fanbase, known as the Barbz, rallied behind her, while SZA’s supporters defended her and highlighted her achievements. This division among fans not only fueled the fire of the feud but also sparked broader conversations about loyalty and support within the music community.

Memes and Viral Content

The exchange between Minaj and SZA quickly became a source of memes and viral content, with fans creating humorous posts that captured the essence of the feud. This phenomenon illustrates how social media can transform a personal conflict into a cultural moment, engaging audiences and generating discussions far beyond the initial dispute.

The Underlying Issues: Industry Politics and Personal Trauma

While the feud may appear to be a simple clash of egos, it is rooted in deeper issues within the music industry. Nicki Minaj’s repeated references to the hashtag #JusticeForDemoree highlight her ongoing conflict with Roc Nation and its CEO, Desiree Perez. This legal battle involves allegations of coercion and mistreatment, adding a layer of complexity to the public feud.

The #JusticeForDemoree Movement

The #JusticeForDemoree movement centers around Demoree Hadley, Perez’s daughter, who has accused her mother of placing her in involuntary psychiatric care. Minaj’s support for Hadley reflects her commitment to addressing issues of mental health and abuse within the industry, positioning her as an advocate for change.

The Role of TDE and Punch

Minaj’s criticisms of Punch, the president of TDE, further complicate the feud. By calling him “Minus 30 million” and mocking his business practices, Minaj is not only attacking SZA but also challenging the integrity of the label that has supported her career. This dynamic underscores the interconnectedness of personal and professional relationships in the music industry.

The Aftermath: What Lies Ahead for Both Artists

As the feud continues to unfold, both Nicki Minaj and SZA are left to navigate the fallout. The public nature of their conflict has implications for their careers, fanbases, and reputations within the industry.

SZA’s Continued Success

Despite the drama, SZA remains focused on her career. With her ongoing tour and the success of her album, she is poised to continue making waves in the music industry. Her ability to rise above the feud and maintain her composure speaks volumes about her character and determination.

Nicki Minaj’s Next Moves

For Nicki Minaj, the feud presents an opportunity to assert her dominance in the industry. By positioning herself as a vocal critic of TDE and Roc Nation, she is reclaiming her narrative and reinforcing her status as a formidable force in the rap game. However, this approach also risks alienating potential collaborators and fans who may view her actions as overly aggressive.

Conclusion: A Reflection on Celebrity Feuds

The explosive feud between Nicki Minaj and SZA serves as a reminder of the complexities of celebrity culture. While social media can amplify conflicts, it also provides a platform for artists to express their truths and advocate for change. As both artists navigate the fallout from their public exchange, the music industry will be watching closely to see how this drama unfolds and what it means for their respective careers.

Final Thoughts

In the world of music, feuds are often inevitable. However, the way artists handle these conflicts can define their legacies. Nicki Minaj and SZA’s ongoing feud is a testament to the challenges of navigating fame, loyalty, and personal integrity in an industry that thrives on drama. As fans, we can only hope for resolution and continued growth from both artists as they move forward in their careers.
